Apart from
invitations being given to prominent dignitaries, the Andhra Pradesh government
has shown a noble gesture by gifting new clothes along with invitation cards to
all the farmers who voluntarily gave away their land for the capital city construction.
Ministers Prathipati Pulla Rao, Narayana, MP Kesineni Nani and others
distributed invitation cards to every household of the farmers along with new
clothes on Friday evening at Nelapadu village in Thalluru mandal. Reportedly,
the government officials have also asked the farmers to attend the ceremony in
brand new lungi and sarees, given to them.
The farmers who voluntarily gave away 33,000 acre of land to the government for
the construction of AP capital city, Amaravati were specially invited for the
ceremony
